Hear us from Heaven

It has been 9 months since we left Elisabeth's house
and within this 9 months
Praise God our cell has grown by leaps and bounds!

God is really working greatly in our cell!
We have grown drastically till the extend that we have outgrown brother Gideon's house
and it's a miracle that we have so many cute primary 6's with us..
There are more coming, and we pray that we have enough manpower for them!

Well it has been a great time at Gideon's house and we really appreciate the
warmest hospitality from Gideon's hospitality..
YeS! I will miss Sister Fanny's homemade delicacies!
The latest which was the chocolate rum cubes
AWESOME!
God Bless and thank you for everything once again!

Anyway we will be shifting to a bigger place
and we really want to thank God for that!
We would like to thank all our mighty warriors for praying for us.
and Thank God for our new host – Rebecca's family!

WE would like to thank everyone for giving support to our cell
without you there won't be a fantastic cell!

Indeed God is hearing us from Heaven!
Amen!

SPD: Hunger and Thirst

Hello There! Shalom! (Peace be with you!)

Gideon here. My first blog post here.

Aaron, you'd better set limitations or else you will get posts every week! Extra 52 per year!!!!!

Anyway, I'll be mainly blogging about what God has said so far in speedlight.

Today, Pastor Sam shared about hungering and thirsting for God.
Key Passage: Matthew 5 : 6.

There are 4 point to note about Hunger:

1) Hunger can be a good driving force. (Matthew 13 : 44)
try this out: Go to speedlight camp as a grouop leader and tell them that lunch is not served until tents are all up. Guranteed with a chop, the tents will be up in 15 min!

If hunger will drive us to seek God, it is a good thing.

2) Hunger is an indication of Health.
If you're hungry, you'd be eating lots, rite? If you're sick, will you feel like eating? Likewise Spiritually.

Pastor shared that some patients die in hospital die because they don;t feel like eating, lose their nutrients, and their organs starty shutting down. Then they die. Spiritually, if we lose hunger, we can end in dire straits.

3) Hunger is a sign of Growth.
If you're not hungry, you can't be growing, right?

4) Spiritual Hunger can only be filled in God. (1st Corinthians 3 : 1-3)
If you're spiritually hungry, you will have a grumbling spirit. Just like the Israelites in the wilderness. But they were not well.

Take Note: ( I drew a big star beside this one) Beneath a Grumbling Spirit (let's say, about not being allowed to eat at Mac), a problem can be at the root (like family problems, etc). We have to be cautious aabout approaching this type of problem, OK? :)

The lack of righteousnessis ok, so long as it causes you to crave for it and seek it.

Pastor also drew us this illustration: Righteousness is the blessing; Hunger is the Pre-requisite.

Last Example: Deuteronomy 8 : 3.

Well, that's the Sermon.

To the people out there reading this post, please pray for the cellgroup. We are currently at a cross-roads, but remember,

"Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path"
-Psalms 119 : 105.

Ok... better not blog too long. Hope this post will minister to you guys!

God Bless!

Shalom!

Festival Of Praise 2008!

Needless to say the hype and excitement was at fever pitch when we were at the Singapore Indoor Stadium yesterday
Felicia & mum Becky and Jian Hui plus Russell and I where there at the opening of FOP 2008..

There's nothing in lack of..
good seats, good atmosphere and good vibes
we were reverberating the sprit in the stadium
jumping and singing like crazy..even shouting too!

It felt great..
for a moment all my troubles were momentarily gone
All I had was the peace of God

Again Saviour King was my favourite
I don't know why but that's the song I always cold connect to..
i was SCREAMING my lungs out till my voice hoarse..
Thank God it's only temporarily...

Remember to make a date for the next FOP

'' I'm forgiven, because You were forsaken...I'm accepted, You were condemned, I'm alive and well, Your Spirit lives within me, because You died and rose again...'' You Are My King (Amazing Love)

I am who I am, because of His amazing love. Without it, I would not be here typing this.
Because of His wonderful grace, I am here, breathing and living.
He saw me from the Cross, as I made my way through the past week, He was always there, cheering me on, and telling me not to give up.

A Father who accompanies me to school
A Father who watches over me just like how a shepherd does to his lambs
A Father who protects me from the evil one
A Father who picks the right partner for me
A Father who breathes life into me every morning.
A Father who helps me out in every difficult situation.
A Father who died and rose again.
A Father who was willing to die for me, how amazing that love is.
A Father who saw US through the many months.
A Father who built up our relationship.
A Father who is there to comfort in times of need and sorrow. A Father who is always present.
A Father who judges fairly. A Father who loves His children oh-so-dearly.
A Father who sent His Son to die for all His children's sins.
A Father who wipes His childrens' tears away.
A Father who performs miracles and wonders, and sciences.
A Father who listens to our prayer.
A Father who talks to us on the go.
A Father who provides.
A Father who forgives and forget.
A Father who made sure I was well, and rid of all illnesses and sickness.
A Father who provides brothers and sisters in Christ.
A Father who called the good to be.
A Father who is the giver of all good things.
A Father who loves.
A Father who is the Author of our salvation, the Alpha and Omega, the beginner, and finisher of our faith, the Way, the Truth and the Life.
And many more...

& most importantly,
A Father whose Word lives on forever and ever, even when heaven and earth has passed, and a Father, who together with His angels, continue to lead us on the righteous path, and cheering us on, to finish the race, and meet us face to face, in Heaven.

Just when you chose to press on, God was there to provide a helping hand and finished up the job for you.
Through the whole of next week, I will be very dependent on Jesus Christ, because without Him, I will not survive.
Only His grace and mercy abounds in love, and is sufficient for me.
Nothing will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus.

Though the storms outside might rage, no matter how uncountable the number of demonic forces assigned in our lives, a cry to Jesus, and He will pick us up from the shadow of darkness, and bring us back into the light, whom He is in.
Because there was a song, How Great Is Our God
' He wraps Himself in light, and darkness tries to hide.
And trembles at His voice, trembles at His voice...'
He is indeed our Lord God almighty.

No matter what the world throws at me, Christ has taken all the pain and shame for me on the Cross, because He paid the price.
And I am very thankful for it.

I am indeed very blessed, because of Him, I am who I am.
All of us Christians have a part to play in forming the Body of Christ, and none of us should be left out in this.
'Cos we're all in this together.

Oh Lord, I just want to commit this entire upcoming week into your loving hands, and pray You'll watch over me...

Amen!
