A Small Sharing

Hi there! long time since I posted something(thought of doing so on Christmas, but... needed more time with God), so why not I share alitle bit?

At this point, I had just talked to my 堂姐(等一等...... 我应该用汉语继续吗?Better not... some terms I have no idea abt...)

Maybe I should use Bahasa Indonesia, kan semua yang sudah di ngobrol dengan sepupu saya pakai bahasa indo (since my entire conversation with my cousin is in bahasa...)

Anyway, here's the verse from my sharing:

"A prudent [man] forseeth the evil, and hideth himself; but the simple pass on, and are punished."

~proverbs 22 : 3

Alternatively...

"A prudent man sees danger and takes refuge, but the simple keep going and suffer for it."

Ok... suppose you are face-to-face with a burning house (and there's no one you need to rescue inside. It's rather empty...)

Do you

a) Run away  OR
b) Go closer?

Obviously run right? Why get burnt?

Now, the same goes to us. We can solve ourselves a lot more problems if we consciously make the effort to turn from the danger of sinning.

Just as an example, the Twilight Movie.

It talks about the love between a teenage girl and vampire. Already, this is not a godly motiff, so why delve into it?

Also, already prevalent in the books series is the whole notion of gratifying the lust of the flesh.

If it interests you, the director (or producer) himself said this(or something similar):
" I want to see teens make out, watch the movie and make out again"

I'm in no position to judge, but if you get what I am saying, this is DANGEROUS.

It can stumble one, and lead to sin. So why delve into it only to seek repentance, when you can totally avoid it and give all that drama (pun intended) a miss?

My cousin was just telling me that althought she is not crazy about it, some of her friends are.

Just to have the END in mind, won't that be the ending scene? A world where people are only loveras of themselves, having been given unto the desires (lusts)of their own flesh?

No wonder Jesus said "be ye watchful"... because the old deceiver has many ways of implanting these characteristics into this generation. Harry Potter was one such way, and this may be no different.

Don't worry. I am not trying to scare you, but just to help you to see things in a more spirit-related perspective. Things of this world are very closely related to the spiritual realm!

Keep your eyes open, your mouth praying and your hope in the Lord!

God bless
